Cape Town’s Table Mountain looks an easy climb. Droves of people chance their luck every day, but inexperience and unfamiliarity take their toll. Seasoned climbers are caught out by the Cape’s notoriously fickle weather. ‘On The Edge’ is a documentary about the volunteers who make up the search and rescue team that responds to the emergency calls. They’re a tight-knit group of people - expert mountaineers whose day-to-day lives are continually disrupted by the high drama of mountain rescue.
